Catch-22 Situation/Week 1
Well if you haven't already guessed, I am a terrible blogger and now put myself in a predicament of which I have decided to get myself out of. It goes like this: the task of blogging 8 weeks is too hard, but if i procrastinate then it just gets longer which makes the task of blogging worse....... Anyways I will start with the first week.
I totally underestimated the power of vodka and since its my first weekend here in Poland AISECers had a welcome party for me with lots of vodka and beer. We were just hanging out having a few shots when before I know it, I had downed 4 shots and feeling a little woozy. The way the Poles drink is to have it straight with the shot in one hand and a glass of juice in the other which gives you the illusion of not drinking very much as the after taste will be that of juice.
As I happily decided to not have anymore, a few more people came with 'zhebruska' (probably not the way its spelt) which is a very very nice Polish vodka. Having been newly introduced to the ferternity of Polish vodka drinkers I couldn't refuse the few more shots they offered me and was pretty out for the night.
